ED arrests ex-Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel’s son in liquor ‘scam’ case

Raipur, Jul 18 (PTI) The ED (Enforcement Directorate) on Friday arrested Chaitnaya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, in an alleged liquor scam linked money laundering case, official sources said. He was taken into custody under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after fresh raids were carried out at his home in Bhilai town in Durg district. Mumbai, Jul 18 (PTI) The rupee gave up initial gains to settle 4 paise lower at 86.16 (provisional) against the US dollar on Friday, dragged by foreign fund outflows, rising global crude oil prices and a steep decline in domestic equity markets.
