New Delhi, May 16 (PTI) Gold prices jumped Rs 1,400 to Rs 96,450 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday due to fresh buying from jewellers and stockists, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.5 per cent purity climbed Rs 1,400 to Rs 96,000 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes). Mumbai, May 16 (PTI) Rupee rose 1 paisa to settle at 85.53 (provisional) against the greenback on Friday on the back of strong FII inflows and a marginal decline in the dollar index. Rupee’s gain was curtailed due to higher Brent crude prices, negative domestic equity markets, and the government data that showed the country’ trade deficit widening in April, according to forex traders.
