NEW DELHI, May 12, 2025 (AP) — Indian and Pakistani authorities said on Monday that there were no reported incidents of firing overnight along the heavily militarized region between their countries, the first time in recent days that the two nations were not shooting at each other. India and Pakistan on Saturday reached an understanding to stop all military actions on land, in the air and at the sea, in a U.S.-brokered ceasefire to stop escalating hostilities between the two nuclear-armed rivals that threatened regional peace. “The night remained largely peaceful across Jammu and Kashmir, and other areas along the

May 12 (Reuters) – Gold slipped on Monday as positive U.S.-China trade talks alleviated market fears, leading investors to shift from safe-haven assets towards riskier investments. Spot gold fell 1.4% to $3,277.34 an ounce, as of 0432 GMT. U.S. gold futures lost 1.9% to $3,281.70. “The dollar index has advanced as the Trump administration touted progress in trade negotiations, with China following negotiations over the weekend in Switzerland which weighed on gold prices,” said Jigar Trivedi, senior commodity analyst at Reliance Securities. The U.S. and China ended high-stakes trade talks on a positive note on Sunday, with U.S. officials touting

After starting the trade on an optimistic note, the 30-share BSE benchmark gauge Sensex further jumped 1,793.73 points to 81,248.20 in early trade. The NSE Nifty surged 553.25 points to 24,561.25. Later, carrying forward the momentum, the BSE

May 12, 2025
Health

London, May 12 (The Conversation) It can be difficult to find the right words to show you really mean it when you apologise. But there are linguistic cues you can use to get your message across.
