New Delhi, Jan 8 (PTI) The Congress on Monday hailed the Supreme Court judgment quashing the Gujarat government’s decision to grant remission to 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano case, saying it has removed the veil over the BJP’s anti-women policies. NEW DELHI, Jan 8 (Reuters) – The Supreme Court on Monday quashed the remission in sentence given to 11 Hindu men who had been jailed for life for gang-raping a pregnant Muslim woman and murdering her relatives during Hindu-Muslim riots in Gujarat state in 2002, local media reported.
