New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI) The government is considering sending ‘The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026’ to a joint committee of both houses of Parliament, even as the Congress and some opposition parties have demanded that it be withdrawn, sources said on Tuesday. The Congress and TMC were among the parties which raised the issue during the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Rajya Sabha, though it was not part of the agenda, asking when the FCRA Bill will be taken up in the House, to which the government said a decision will be taken on it

Bengaluru, Aug 11 (PTI) Actor Prakash Raj on Tuesday claimed that his name has been deleted from the electoral rolls in Bengaluru during the ongoing SIR process. Gold hits two-month high of Rs 1.57 lakh/10g as bullion rally shrugs off oil surge

New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI) Gold prices climbed for the sixth straight session, rising Rs 1,200 to a two-month high of Rs 1.57 lakh per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday, as stronger investment demand by traders kept bullion elevated despite firm oil rates. The yellow metal of 99.9 per cent purity jumped Rs 1,200 to 1,57,200 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes) from Monday’s closing level of Rs 1,56,000 per 10 grams, according to the All India Sarafa Association. It had last traded near these levels on June 12, when it quoted Rs 1,56,900 per 10
