Mumbai, Oct 14 (PTI) Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty rebounded in early trade on Tuesday, driven by buying in IT stocks, optimism over India-US trade talks, and a sharp rally in the US markets. Meanwhile, retail inflation slowed to an over 8-year low of 1.54 per cent in September and slipped below the Reserve Bank’s comfort zone mainly due to subdued prices of vegetables, fruits and pulses, according to government data released on Monday. Chandigarh, Oct 14 (PTI) The Haryana government has sent State DGP Shatrujeet Kapur on leave amid opposition’s attack on the BJP dispensation over IPS officer Y Puran Kumar’s alleged suicide, and demand by Kumar’s family for action against the officers accused of harassing him. WHO warns of contaminated India cough syrups

Oct 14 (Reuters) – The WHO (World Health Organization) on Monday issued a health advisory warning about three contaminated cough syrups identified in India, urging authorities to report any detection of these medicines in their countries to the health agency.
