Markets climb in early trade on firm global cues, India-US trade deal optimism

Mumbai, Nov 12 (PTI) Equity benchmark indices in stock markets Sensex and Nifty climbed in early trade on Wednesday driven by buying in blue-chips Reliance Industries, Infosys and Bharti Airtel amid firm global cues. Besides, traders said that optimism over an impending India-US trade deal also supported the investors’ sentiment. The 30-share BSE Sensex benchmark increased by 464.66 points, or 0.55 per cent, to 84,335.98 in early trade. The 50-share NSE Nifty appreciated by 134.70 points, or 0.52 per cent, to 25,829.65. Gold, silver rally on Fed rate cut hopes, US shutdown resolution

New Delhi, Nov 11 (PTI) Gold and silver prices rallied in the futures trade on Tuesday tracking firm global trends amid easing concerns over the US government shutdown and growing expectations of a rate cut by the Federal Reserve in its December meeting. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for December delivery extended the gains for the fourth consecutive day appreciating Rs 725, or 0.58 per cent to Rs 1,24, 695 per 10 grams. Similarly, the February 2026 contract for the yellow metal futures surged by Rs 736, or 0.59 per cent to Rs 1,26,101 per 10 grams.
