Datia/Bankipur/Manjalpur (Madhya Pradesh/Bihar/Gujarat) [India], August 3 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party suffered a blow on Monday, losing the saffron citadel in Bihar’s Bankipur, capitalising on widespread voter disillusionment and nationwide student unrest. In Bihar’s urban bastion of Bankipur–a saffron stronghold since 1995 vacated by BJP National President Nitin Nabin–Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor secured his maiden electoral victory by a resounding 19,324 votes. While the spotlight was on Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor breaching the BJP bastion with 64,151 votes, Independent candidate Lalu Prasad Yadav could garner just 81, a vote share of 0.06 per cent. Another Independent candidate, Nitish Kumar, fared a bit better with 149 votes, which amounted to 0.11 per cent of the total votes polled. Both lost

Commending Kishor, the chief minister said, “In the grand festival of democracy, the people have chosen Jan Suraaj in the Bankipur Assembly bypoll. I respect the

New Delhi, Aug 3 (PTI) Consuming less protein, especially among those who are relatively sedentary, could have greater health benefits and may extend lifespan, according to a new review. “It’s absolutely crystal clear that there are benefits of protein to muscle growth and exercise response of active individuals,” author Dudley Lamming, of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US, said. “But because most people are relatively sedentary, many people are likely consuming more protein than they actually need, which probably has negative health consequences,” Lamming said. The study, published in the journal Cell Press Blue, reviewed 350 papers on protein
