Stock markets rebound in early trade on drop in crude oil prices, supportive global cues

Mumbai, Jun 22 (PTI) Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty rebounded in early trade on Monday following a decline in crude oil prices and supportive global cues. Fresh foreign fund inflows and buying in blue-chips Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank also added to markets’ optimism. The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 407.12 points to 77,210.02 in early trade. Mumbai, Jun 22 (PTI) The rupee depreciated 15 paise to 94.48 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday, weighed down by the strength of the American currency in the overseas market. Forex traders said the rupee witnessed volatility as steady debt and deposit inflows pulled the domestic currency in one way, while a nervous Middle East and a firm dollar pulled it the other way.
