Mumbai, Jan 1 (PTI) Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty began the first trading session of 2026 on an optimistic note supported by steady buying by domestic institutional investors and strong gains in blue-chip Reliance Industries. Mumbai, Jan 1 (PTI) The rupee started the new year on a negative note and depreciated 11 paise to 89.99 against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday weighed down by persistent foreign fund outflows.
