DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, November 21, 2025 (AP) — The pilot of an Indian combat plane died after the aircraft crashed Friday during a demonstration flight for spectators at the Dubai Air Show, the Indian Air Force said. The Indian HAL Tejas, a combat aircraft used in the Indian Air Force, crashed around 2:10 p.m. local time after the pilot had flown across the site of the biennial air show in Dubai several times. Rupee gains 5 paise to 88.63 against US dollar in early trade

Mumbai, Nov 21 (PTI) The rupee pared initial losses and showed a slight recovery of 5 paise trading at 88.63 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday on the back of lower crude oil prices overseas and foreign capital infusion in domestic stocks. The local currency, however, remained under pressure tracking a firm greenback and negative cues from domestic equity markets, forex traders said. At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 88.67 and gained some ground to trade at 88.63 against the US dollar in initial deals, up 5 paise from its previous closing level.

Stock markets fall in early trade dragged by weak global peers

CHENNAI, Nov 21 (Reuters) – Indian officials are investigating whether safety lapses in the supply of a pharmaceutical ingredient were responsible for contaminating cough syrup that has killed at least 24 children in recent months, according to three people familiar with the matter.
