New Delhi, Dec 2, 2025: The Finance Ministry has finally cleared the fog around the merger of dearness allowance with basic salary under the 8th Pay Commission. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, the government clarified that there is no proposal regarding the merger of existing DA with basic salary that will be decided for the 8th CPC.
