Mumbai, Apr 15 (PTI) The rupee pared initial gains to settle 9 paise lower at 93.44 (provisional) against the US dollar on Wednesday, as rising crude oil prices after a sharp fall and higher domestic inflation data dampened sentiment. Mumbai, Apr 15 (PTI) Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty surged over 1 per cent on Wednesday as hopes of renewed diplomatic engagement between the US and Iran and crude oil trading below the USD 100-a-barrel level bolstered investor sentiment. India’s wholesale inflation inches up to 3.88% in March, a more than 3-year high

NEW DELHI, April 15 (Reuters) – India’s wholesale prices rose 3.88% ​year-on-year in March, its fastest pace in ‌over three years, driven by higher prices of oil, food and ​manufactured products, government data ​showed on Wednesday.
