New Delhi, Oct 1 (PTI) The Union Cabinet on Wednesday increased DA (Dearness Allowance) and DR (Dearness Relief) by 3 per cent for about 49.19 lakh central government employees and 68.72 lakh pensioners. The DA/DR increase of 3 per cent over the existing rate of 55 per cent of the basic pay/pension to compensate against the price rise is effective July 1, 2025. 7.42 cr voters in Bihar’s final poll roll; down from 7.89 cr before SIR

New Delhi, Sep 30 (PTI) The total number of electors in poll-bound Bihar have come down to 7.42 crore in the final electoral roll published on Tuesday from 7.89 crore before the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list carried out by the Election Commission. The final figure is, however, more than 7.24 crore electors named in the draft list issued on August 1, which had removed 65 lakh voters from the original list on various accounts, including deaths, migration and duplication of voters.
