Supreme Court to examine plea for political parties publishing their memorandum, rules on their websites

New Delhi, Nov 3 (PTI) The Supreme Court said on Monday it will issue certain directions following a plea urging the Election Commission to ensure that every political party publishes its memorandum, rules and regulations on its website. A bench of Justices Surya Kant, Ujjal Bhuyan and Joymalya Bagchi, which issued notice to the Centre and the Election Commission (EC) on an application filed by advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay, said, “Unless there are very strong impediments, we would like to issue certain directions”. Mumbai, Nov 3 (PTI) The rupee extended its descent for the third straight day and settled five paise down at 88.75 (provisional) against the US dollar on Monday, near its all-time low level, weighed down by a strong American currency and foreign fund outflows. Mumbai, Nov 3 (PTI) Benchmark indices Sensex edged up nearly 40 points while Nifty ended above 25,750 points in a lackadaisical trade on Monday, snapping the two-day declining streak on buying in select auto and banking shares. The 30-share BSE Sensex inched up by 39.78 points or 0.05 per cent to settle at 83,978.49 as 14 of its constituents advanced and 16 declined. HYDERABAD, India, November 3, 2025 (AP) — A truck loaded with concrete stone chips rammed into a passenger bus in Telangana early Monday, killing at least 20 people and injuring about two dozens, local authorities said. The state-run transport bus was carrying around 70 passengers en route to Hyderabad city in Telangana state when a truck coming from opposite direction collided with it near the town of Chevalla, local district official K.
