May 28 (Reuters) – The British government will oppose any attempt ​from Indian billionaire Sunil Bharti Mittal ‌to increase his stake in telecoms group BT, citing the need to maintain sovereign ​control over “critical national infrastructure”, the Financial ​Times reported on Thursday, citing people ⁠familiar with the matter. New Delhi, May 28 (PTI) More than 92 per cent of Indian women want sanitary pads to be made available as an essential item in public washrooms, with a majority saying the absence of menstrual hygiene support affects women’s dignity and inclusion in public spaces, according to a nationwide survey released on Thursday. NEW YORK, May 28 (Reuters) – Oil prices jumped about 2% in early Thursday trading after ​Reuters reported fresh U.S. strikes overnight on an Iranian ‌military site, escalating tensions even as Washington and Tehran negotiate to end their three-month conflict.
