Mumbai, Jul 12 (PTI) Congress has urged the returning officer of the biennial elections to the Maharashtra Legislative Council not to allow BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad, accused of firing upon a Shiv Sena leader inside a police station, to cast his vote. Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 12 (ANI): The voting for the Maharashtra Legislative Council Elections is underway at Vidhan Sabha for the 11 seats of the Council and will go on till 4 pm on Friday. A total of 12 candidates are in the fray. The elections come just months ahead of the Assembly elections slated to take place in the state later this year. Ahead of the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections, BJP’s MLC candidate Pankaja Munde visited and offered prayers at Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. Supreme Court grants Kejriwal interim bail in in ED case

New Delhi [India], July 12 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the now scrapped excise policy case registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). A bench headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna referred to his petition challenging his arrest by the ED to a larger bench.
