Senior IPS officer Anand assumes charge as new DGP of Telangana

Hyderabad, May 1 (PTI) Senior IPS officer C V Anand assumed charge as the new DGP of Telangana on Friday. Anand, a 1991-batch IPS officer, served as Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Home Department, before being appointed as the DGP. He succeeded B Shivadhar Reddy, who superannuated on April 30. Anand began his police career as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the Warangal Rural sub-division.
