ATLANTA, Aug 24 (Reuters) – Donald Trump is due to report to an Atlanta jail on Thursday to face charges stemming from his effort to overturn his 2020 election loss, in the fourth criminal case to hit the former president this year. Like other criminal defendants in Atlanta, Trump will have to appear at the Fulton County Jail to be fingerprinted and photographed – a mug shot that is certain to be widely circulated by backers and detractors alike as he campaigns to win back the White House in a November 2024 election. New Delhi [India], August 23 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against the Superintendent, Bond Section, Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House (JNCH), Raigad (Maharashtra) and two private companies based in Goregaon, Thane, and unknown others for conspiring to get goods delivered without paying the fines, causing a loss to the Government Exchequer, an official said on Wednesday. The CBI informed that a Joint Surprise Check was earlier conducted in the Bond section of JNCH, Raigad, by the CBI along with officials of JNCH. Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon, creates history

New Delhi [India], August 23 (ANI): It was a giant leap for India on Wednesday evening as the Chandrayaan-3 lander module successfully landed on the moon’s South Pole, making it the first country to have achieved the historic feat and bringing to an end the disappointment over the crash landing of the Chandrayaan-2, four years ago. Officials at India’s space agency ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru broke into applause after the Vikram began its powered vertical descent towards its landing site. “India is on the moon!” Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is currently attending the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg said.
