Bihar caste survey report: 6.11pc are graduates, 15pc cleared class 10

Patna, Nov 8 (PTI) There are nearly 80 lakh graduates in Bihar, which is around 6.11 per cent of the total population, says the caste survey report tabled in Bihar assembly. According to the report, 24,534 people belonging to Other Reported Classes (ORC) have the maximum number of graduates, accounting for 13.45 per cent of their total population. The report was tabled in the assembly on Tuesday. 2 government officials, retired employee convicted for corruption and forgery in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 8 (PTI) Two Odisha government officials and a retired employee were convicted on Tuesday in connection with corruption and forgery cases registered by the state vigilance department. The convicts are school teacher Nagesh Kumar Mahakud, Anganwadi worker Lilabati Mohanta, and revenue inspector Ramesh Chandra Mishra (retired), the department said in a statement. The court of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM), Balasore, awarded imprisonment for a period of one year to Mahakud and two years to Mohanta.
