Balasore train accident: CBI files chargesheet against three Railway officials

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has today filed a chargesheet against three Railway Officials in the court of Special Judicial Magistrate, Bhubaneswar. The officials were arrested on July 7, 2023, and are presently in judicial custody in an on-going investigation of the case related to train accident at Bahanaga Bazar Railway Station, Balasore (Odisha). The officials include then Senior Sectional Engineer SSE (Signal) Incharge Balasore Arun Kumar Mahanta, then SSE (Signal) Soro Md Amir Khan and then Technician Balasore Pappu Kumar. UGC bars universities from printing Aadhaar number on degrees, provisional certificates

New Delhi, Sep 2 (PTI) Printing of Aadhaar number of students on degrees and provisional certificates is not allowed, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has told universities. New Delhi, September 2, 2023: Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday night in an alleged ₹ 538-crore money laundering case linked to loans and credit lines given to the airline by Canara Bank. Goyal was taken into custody under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), following a long session of questioning at the ED’s office in Mumbai, according to media reports.
