Srinagar (India) (AFP) – The Indian government freed Kashmir’s chief Muslim cleric and influential separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday after more than four years of house arrest. The 50-year-old was detained along with other political leaders and thousands of residents when the government cancelled the Muslim-majority region’s constitutional semi-autonomy and imposed federal rule in 2019. Arizona [US], September 22 (ANI): Millions of people are living with a combination of chronic pain and mental ill health, according to research published in the journal PAIN by the University of Arizona Health Sciences, roughly one in every twenty persons in the United States suffers from both chronic pain and anxiety or depression, resulting in functional impairments in daily life. Prior research has shown that chronic pain along with symptoms of anxiety or depression are biologically linked. This study is one of the few to examine the national prevalence of chronic pain with anxiety or depression symptoms in adults.
