SGPGI develops new economical therapy for gallbladder cancer patients with better results

New Delhi, Jan 8 (PTI) The SGPGI Lucknow has developed a new treatment regimen for gallbladder cancer patients, which could nearly double their life expectancy while costing a fraction of the expensive immunotherapy, according to a study published in an international medical journal. Professor Sushma Agrawal of the Radiotherapy Department at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) led a five-year study examining the effects of altering conventional chemotherapy by adding radiotherapy in 140 patients with localised gallbladder cancer who were not suitable for surgical intervention. “Gallbladder cancer is the third most prevalent cancer among women in Northern India,

MUMBAI, Jan 8 (Reuters) – The Indian rupee dropped to an all-time low on Wednesday, pressured by a resumption of the dollar’s uptrend after data pointed to a resilient U.S. economy, reinforcing bets that the Federal Reserve won’t be in a rush to cut policy rates. New Delhi, Jan 8 (PTI) Farm workers and drivers will figure among the fastest growing jobs over the next five years, while roles of cashiers and ticket clerks will see the largest decline, a new study showed on Wednesday. In its Future of Jobs Report 2025, the World Economic Forum (WEF) also said that 170 million new jobs will be created by 2030, while 92 million are projected to be displaced, resulting in 78 million net new jobs.
