Adani Group completes full takeover of IANS news agency

New Delhi, Jan 23 (PTI) Billionaire Gautam Adani’s group has taken full control of news agency IANS by purchasing the remaining 24 per cent stake for an undisclosed sum of money. AMG Media Networks Ltd, the media arm of the group’s flagship firm Adani Enterprises, has entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire the remaining stake in IANS India Private Limited, according to a stock exchange filing by the company. Jan 23 (Reuters) – Adani group companies fell between 5% to 10% on Friday after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission asked a court for permission to personally email summons to Indian billionaire Gautam Adani and group executive Sagar Adani over alleged fraud and a $265 million bribery scheme. The flagship company, Adani Enterprises fell as much as 9.1% to 1,895.60 rupees.
