UP Police Constable exam begins today with tight security

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 23 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 commenced on Friday amid tight security arrangements.

The examination will be conducted over five days from August 23 to 31 across the state. The examination will be conducted in two shifts each day.
Uttar Pradesh Police have made extensive security and support measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the police recruitment examination.

DIG Moradabad Range, Muniraj G. said, “There are a total of 69 centres in the 5 districts of Moradabad division. The maximum number of centres is in Moradabad district (26). Around 29000 candidates will appear for the exam in one shift. We are fully prepared for that. We have visited all the examination centres and checked all aspects. All the examination centres are under CCTV cameras”.

“11 zones and 32 sectors have been formed in the whole division. Regular monitoring will be done through the district control room. Verification of ID and face will be done with the help of Artificial Intelligence”, he added.

DCP Central Lucknow Raveena Tyagi said that around 80,000 aspirants will appear for the exam in Lucknow district adding that drones are being used for surveillance.

She said, “Around 80,000 aspirants across 81 centres will take the exam in Lucknow district. There are arrangements for checking and frisking aspirants. CCTV monitoring is being done at all exam centres. Police arrangements are done at all major bus stands, railway stations and metro stations. Several holding areas across the city are made for aspirants. The facility of city buses and inter-district buses is available. Smart City Control and drones being used for surveillance.”

Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam is also being conducted at 18 centres in Noida, informed Joint CP Shivhari Meena.

“The exam is being held at 18 centres in the city. The security teams have been deployed. We are ensuring that frisking and checking of aspirants are being conducted properly. DCP Traffic and his team have been deployed for proper traffic management, Joint CP Shivhari Meena said.

Meanwhile, an aspirant said, “We have been waiting for the exam for a long time. This is my last attempt for this exam and I am fully prepared.”

In February, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered to conduct the re-examination after the paper was leaked.
