New Delhi, Dec 3 (PTI) Former CBI director Vijay Shankar breathed his last on Tuesday after prolonged illness, his family said. He was 76. Shankar was admitted to a private hospital in Noida for some time. His mortal remains will be donated to AIIMS as per his last wish, they said. A 1969-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, Shankar headed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from December 12, 2005 to July 31, 2008. Dec 3 (Reuters) – Several entities linked to the Adani Group have approached the SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) seeking to settle a case that accuses them of violating public shareholding regulations at some listed companies, the Economic Times reported on Tuesday.
