New Delhi, Apr 8 (PTI) Gold prices fell by Rs 200 to Rs 91,250 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday amid subdued demand in the local markets, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity had settled at Rs 91,450 per 10 grams on Monday. Gold of 99.5 per cent purity dipped Rs 200 to Rs 90,800 per 10 grams. Gold futures rise Rs 695 to Rs 87,623/10g

New Delhi, Apr 8 (PTI) Gold prices on Tuesday rose Rs 695 to Rs 87,623 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 695 or 0.8 per cent at Rs 87,623 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 14,966 lots. Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said. Globally, gold futures increased 0.67 per cent to USD 3,003.41 per ounce in New York.

Mumbai, Apr 8 (PTI) Stock markets rebounded sharply on Tuesday, a day after facing the worst drubbing in 10 months, as benchmark Sensex recouped 1,089 points after across-the-board value buying amid firm Asian and European markets. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 1,089.18 points or 1.49 per cent to settle at 74,227.08 with 29 of its components ending in the green. During the day, it climbed 1,721.49 points or 2.35 per cent to 74,859.39. The NSE Nifty surged 374.25 points or 1.69 per cent to 22,535.85.
