Dhaka, Aug 24 (PTI) A retired judge of Bangladesh’s Supreme Court was detained from the northeastern frontier with India in Sylhet while he was allegedly attempting to flee the country, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said late on Friday. Tamil Nadu women cops to get one year maternity leave, posting of choice for three yrs, says CM

Chennai, Aug 23 (PTI) Women police in the state force will be entitled to one year’s maternity leave, and upon resuming work they will be posted at a place of their choice for a three-year period to nurture their children, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin said on Friday. India should retain headline inflation as target, RBI external rate panel members say

Aug 23, 2024 (Bloomberg): Billionaire Gautam Adani’s power generating unit has raked up unpaid dues of as much as $800 million from Bangladesh, where weeks of violent protests left hundreds dead and forced out the previous administration this month.
