Mumbai, Jul 10 (PTI) Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower in early trade on Thursday as investors stayed on the sidelines ahead of the start of earnings season, with IT major TCS scheduled to announce its Q1 numbers later in the day. Mumbai, Jul 10 (PTI) The rupee appreciated 17 paise to 85.56 against US dollar in early trade on Thursday, as the US-India trade talks made modest progress, with tariff deadline extensions on select Indian exports offering short-term relief. Forex traders said rupee traded in a volatile but narrow range as market participants stayed on the sidelines, waiting for clarity on the US-India interim trade deal. At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened at 85.62 against the dollar, then touched an early high of 85.56, up 17 paise from its previous close.
