New Delhi, Jul 18 (PTI) Gold prices rose Rs 100 to Rs 98,770 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday amid a firm trend in the international markets, according to the All India Sarafa Association. On Thursday, the precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity had closed at Rs 98,670 per 10 grams. Mumbai, Jul 18 (PTI) The rupee gave up initial gains to settle 4 paise lower at 86.16 (provisional) against the US dollar on Friday, dragged by foreign fund outflows, rising global crude oil prices and a steep decline in domestic equity markets. Mumbai, Jul 18 (PTI) Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty tumbled on Friday, marking their second straight day of losses due to foreign fund outflows and selling in banking shares after a muted start to the quarterly earnings season.
