New Delhi, Mar 27 (PTI) Indian auto component makers are more likely to be impacted than their vehicle manufacturing counterparts by US President Donald Trump’s tariff war, industry observers said on Thursday. Trump on Wednesday announced imposition of 25 per cent tariffs on auto imports from April with another 25 per cent tariffs expected to be applied on imports of major automotive parts — engines and engine parts, transmissions and powertrain parts, and electrical components by May. “It is the Indian auto components industry that is more likely to face the heat due to the US tariff as exports from

Mumbai, Mar 27 (PTI) The rupee depreciated 24 paise to 85.93 against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday, as US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies reignited fears of a global trade war, fuelling inflation concerns and causing ripple effects across currency markets. The US dollar strengthened after Trump late on Wednesday announced long-promised 25 per cent tariffs on automotive imports, set to take effect on April 2. Forex dealers said the rupee is also facing renewed pressure on liquidity constraints, concerns over reciprocal tariff implementations and month-end demand for the US currency from importers. However, foreign fund inflows

He emphasised that the attack on Suman’s residence, which occurred while the Chief Minister was in the district, was not only condemnable but also seemed to have the Chief Minister’s tacit consent. Yadav highlighted Suman’s experience and stature as a Dalit MP, making the attack even more egregious. Akhilesh Yadav said, “On March
