New Delhi, May 21 (PTI) Gold prices rebounded by Rs 1,910 to Rs 98,450 per 10 grams in the national capital as rising global uncertainties triggered a fresh wave of safe-haven buying. According to the All India Sarafa Association, the precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity had closed at Rs 96,540 per 10 grams on Tuesday. Mumbai, May 21 (PTI) Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty rebounded sharply on Wednesday, snapping their three-day falling streak on the back of buying in blue-chips HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank and a firm trend in Asian peers. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 410.19 points or 0.51 per cent to settle at 81,596.63. During the day, it surged 835.2 points or 1.02 per cent to 82,021.64. The NSE Nifty climbed 129.55 points or 0.52 per cent to 24,813.45. Rupee falls 1 paisa to close at 85.59 against US dollar

Mumbai, May 21 (PTI) The rupee consolidated in a narrow range and settled for the day down by 1 paisa at 85.59 (provisional) against the US dollar on Wednesday, on dollar demand from importers and foreign banks as well as surge in crude oil prices. Forex traders said market sentiment soured under pressure from rising US Treasury yields and persistent foreign fund outflows. However, positive domestic markets and a weak US dollar index cushioned the downside. At the interbank foreign exchange, the domestic unit opened at 85.65 and moved between an intra-day high of 85.53 and a low of 85.70

Buffalo (US), May 21 (The Conversation) Children and teenagers of any age who sip or taste alcohol with their parents’ permission are more likely to engage in risky drinking in young adulthood. That was the finding of a new study my colleagues and I published in the journal Addictive Behaviors.
