Mumbai, Apr 23 (PTI) The rupee depreciated 25 paise and settled for the day at 85.44 (provisional) against the US dollar on Wednesday, on surge in crude oil prices and importer demand for the American currency. Forex traders said the American currency recovered, supported by Donald Trump’s softened stance — particularly towards the Federal Reserve and China. Mumbai, Apr 23 (PTI) Stock markets extended the winning run to seventh day on Wednesday with benchmark BSE Sensex jumping 520 points to close above 80,000 level for the first time in four months driven by strong gains in IT and auto shares.
