Mumbai, May 29 (PTI) The rupee declined 10 paise to close at 85.48 (provisional) against the US dollar on Thursday due to a strong American currency against major crosses overseas and rising global crude oil prices. However, positive domestic equity market and foreign fund inflows supported the local currency and restricted its slide, forex traders said. Mumbai, May 29 (PTI) Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty rebounded on Thursday after two days of decline, mirroring a rally in global markets as a US court blocked President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs. New Delhi, May 29 (PTI) Gold prices declined by Rs 500 to Rs 98,500 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday amid weak global cues, according to the All India Sarafa Association. NEW YORK, May 28 (Reuters) – A U.S. trade court blocked President Donald Trump’s tariffs from going into effect in a sweeping ruling on Wednesday that found the president overstepped his authority by imposing across-the-board duties on imports from U.S. trading partners.
