Gold stays flat at Rs 98,600/10 g

New Delhi, Jun 26 (PTI) Gold prices stayed flat at Rs 98,600 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.5 per cent purity also remained flat at Rs 98,050 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes). Mumbai, Jun 26 (PTI) Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty surged over 1 per cent on Thursday, taking their winning momentum to the third day running, amid growing optimism following easing geopolitical tensions and buying in market heavyweights HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries. Rupee rises 41 paise to close at 85.67 against US dollar

Mumbai, Jun 26 (PTI) The rupee rose 41 paise to 85.67 (provisional) against the US dollar on Thursday on the back of a sharp drop in the greenback and a strong show in the domestic equity markets amid rise in risk appetite. The rupee extended its gains supported by a rise in risk appetite in global markets after the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, forex traders said. June 26 (Reuters) – Gold edged higher on Thursday, lifted by a weaker dollar and growing uncertainty after reports suggested U.S. President Donald Trump was considering replacing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell as early as September-October.
