TOKYO, August 4, 2025 (AP) — Shigeko Kagawa, a 114-year-old retired physician from Nara Prefecture, has became Japan’s oldest living person, following the death of 114-year-old Miyoko Hiroyasu, according to Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Kagawa, a symbol of Japan’s extraordinary longevity, graduated from medical school before World War II, served at a hospital in Osaka during the war, and later ran her family’s clinic as an obstetrician and gynecologist. Sensex rises 419 pts to close above 81k level on gains in metal, auto shares

Mumbai, Aug 4 (PTI) Benchmark BSE Sensex rose by nearly 419 points to close above the 81,000 level while Nifty jumped 157 points on Monday following gains in metal, commodities and auto shares amid a firm trend in global markets.
