New York/Washington, Jul 8 (PTI) US President Donald Trump has announced a 35 per cent tariff on products imported from Bangladesh. The Trump administration sent the first tranche of “letters” to various countries on Monday, detailing the tariffs that the US will impose on products from them. The countries that got these letters, signed by Trump, were Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand and Tunisia. Pakistan army chief rejects Indian allegation of Chinese help in May conflict

ISLAMABAD, July 7 (Reuters) – Pakistan’s army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir on Monday rejected New Delhi’s allegation that his military received active support from longtime ally China in its conflict with India in May. Indian army’s deputy chief Lieutenant General Rahul Singh said last week that China gave Islamabad “live inputs” on key Indian positions.
