New Delhi, Jul 15 (PTI) The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted protection to cartoonist accused of sharing alleged objectionable cartoons of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS workers on social media. July 15 (Reuters) – Indian automakers’ car sales to dealers slid to an 18-month low in June, data from an industry body showed on Tuesday, amid weak demand in urban areas. Urban Indians have tightened discretionary spending for a better part of this year, with wage hikes lagging the growth seen in previous years. Car makers delivered 312,849 units to dealers last month, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers said in a statement, down 7.4% from 337,757 units a year before. BSE building in Mumbai gets bomb threat, turns out to be hoax

Mumbai, Jul 15 (PTI) The iconic Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) building in south Mumbai received a bomb threat email, which turned out to a hoax after a search of the premises, police said on Tuesday. A BSE employee received an email on Sunday from an email ID mentioning the name of a political leader from south India, an official said. The email claimed four RDX IEDs had been planted in the BSE building and warned of a blast around 3 pm on Monday, he said.
