Claude is leading 26% of Anthropic’s model research and development, which the company said means it can complete most of a given task “end-to-end from a high-level prompt” while still being under human supervision. Mumbai, Sep 18 (PTI) Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty rallied in early trade on Friday amid easing crude oil prices and a positive trend in global markets. The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 162.87 points to 74,483.56 in early trade. The 50-share NSE Nifty was up 43.90 points to 23,315.25. Judge strikes down Trump policy that cut millions in teacher-training money

BOSTON, September 18, 2026 (AP) — A federal judge on Thursday struck down a 2025 order from the Trump administration that cut hundreds of millions of dollars in teacher-training money. U.S. District Judge Angel Kelley in Massachusetts wrote in her order that the Education Department’s directive violated federal law and was arbitrary and capricious. In February 2025, the Education Department cut about $600 million in grants for teacher training, characterizing them as supporting “ divisive ideologies ” such as diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. The grants were intended to address teacher shortages. The Education Department’s order was hasty, Kelley wrote.
