New Delhi, Jun 5 (PTI) Gold prices declined by Rs 400 to Rs 1.59 lakh per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday amid weak trends in the international markets. According to local marketmen, the yellow metal of 99.9 per cent purity depreciated by Rs 400 to Rs 1,59,900 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes) from Thursday’s closing level of Rs 1,60,300 per 10 grams. Annamalai promises to usher in new shift in Tamil Nadu politics

Chennai, Jun 5 (PTI) Former Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai, who quit the party on Friday, said he was beginning a new political journey aiming to usher in “common man politics,” distancing itself from traditional personality-driven politics and rejecting sycophancy and hereditary power. Rupee rises 81 paise to close at 94.93 against US dollar post RBI policy decision

Mumbai, Jun 5 (PTI) The rupee appreciated 81 paise to close at 94.93 (provisional) against the US dollar on Friday after the Reserve Bank announced measures to support foreign capital inflows and strengthen forex liquidity. Forex traders said the announcements in the RBI policy boosted investor sentiments after the apex bank asserted that the country’s forex reserves provide a sufficient buffer against external shocks.
