Gold jumps Rs 1,300 to Rs 1,32,900/10g in Delhi amid firm global cues

New Delhi, Dec 5 (PTI) Gold prices jumped by Rs 1,300 to Rs 1,32,900 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday amid firm global trends, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity had closed at Rs 1,31,600 per 10 grams on Thursday. In the local bullion market, silver surged by Rs 3,500 to Rs 1,83,500 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes) from previous close of Rs 1,80,000 per kg. Mumbai, Dec 5 (PTI) Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty rallied on Friday after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) cut key benchmark interest rate for the first time in six months and took steps to boost liquidity to support a “goldilocks” economy in the face of high US tariffs. Rising for the second day in a row, the 30-share BSE Sensex advanced 447.05 points, or 0.52 per cent, to settle at 85,712.37. During the day, it jumped 531.4 points, or 0.62 per cent, to 85,796.72. The 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 152.70 points, or 0.59 per cent, to 26,186.45.
