Truck driver abducted, rescued for ex-IAS probationer Puja Khedkar’s house

Mumbai, Sep 15 (PTI) A truck driver, allegedly abducted after a road rage incident in Navi Mumbai, has been rescued from the house of former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar in Pune, police said on Monday. Khedkar has been accused of cheating and wrongly availing OBC and disability quota benefits in the civil services examination. The alleged abduction took place on Mulund-Airoli road in Navi Mumbai township on Saturday evening when Prahlad Kumar (22) was driving his concrete mixer truck, the police said. New Delhi, Sep 15 (PTI) Gold prices fell Rs 148 to Rs 1,09,222 per 10 grams in the domestic futures market on Monday, mirroring a weak global trend as market participants stayed cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s policy decision. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the most-traded October futures fell Rs 148 or 0.14 per cent to Rs 1,09,222 per 10 grams in a turnover of 15,852 lots. Mumbai, Sep 15 (PTI) Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty recorded marginal gains in early trade on Monday but later faced highly volatile trends and were quoting flat amid profit-taking after a sharp rally last week.
