Mumbai, Mar 5 (PTI) Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty bounced back in early trade on Thursday tracking a rebound in global equities, after facing heavy losses in the past few trading sessions due to the conflict in West Asia. Mumbai, Mar 17 (PTI) The rupee lost 14 paise and traded at 92.42 against the US dollar in early deals on Tuesday, as it failed to resist pressure from rising crude oil prices and the incessant withdrawal of foreign funds amid the heightened West Asia crisis. Subdued domestic equity markets and elevated American currency also weighed on the local unit even as investors moved cautiously, awaiting the interest rate decision of the US Federal Reserve, according to forex traders. Arunachal Pradesh Government Transfers 27 Senior Police Officers in Major Reshuffle

Itanagar, Mar 16 (PTI) The Arunachal Pradesh government has transferred and posted 27 senior police officers, including several from the IPS and state police service (APPS) cadre. The transfers were ordered by the governor following a Police Establishment Board (PEB) meeting held recently, according to an official notification issued by the state Home Department. Senior IPS officer Chinmoy Biswal has been appointed as IGP (Security/Crime), while Joy Tirkey has been assigned the charge of DIG HQ (Additional).
