Bollywood actor Dharmendra dies at 89

MUMBAI, Nov 24 (Reuters) – Dharmendra Deol, who became one of India’s most prominent actors and a Bollywood action hero, died in Mumbai on Monday, local media said. He was 89. New Delhi, Nov 24 (PTI) Gold prices declined by Rs 700 to Rs 1,25,400 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday amid appreciation in the rupee, and weak global trends, according to marketmen. Extending losses for the third straight session, the precious metal of 99.5 per cent purity dropped by Rs 700 to Rs 1,24,800 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes). Silver too faced selling pressure for the third consecutive day, plunging by Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,55,000 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes). Mumbai, Nov 24 (PTI) Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty rebounded in early trade on Monday, driven by a rally in IT stocks and firm global market trends. The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 218.44 points to 85,450.36 in early trade. The 50-share NSE Nifty went up by 69.4 points to 26,137.55. Rupee rises 49 paise to 89.17 against US dollar in early trade

Mumbai, Nov 24 (PTI) The rupee rebounded on Monday from record lows, rising 49 paise to 89.17 against the greenback in early trade on US dollar selling by banks and a dip in global crude oil prices. A positive opening in the domestic equity markets and intervention by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) lent support to the domestic unit, according to forex traders. The rupee opened at 89.46 against the greenback before rising to 89.17, up 49 paise from its previous close. The rupee plunged 98 paise to close at its lifetime low of 89.66 against the US dollar
