Chandigarh, Apr 30 (PTI) Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh, who recently quit AAP and joined the BJP along with six other MPs, has moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking directions to the Punjab government to restore his security cover. New Delhi, Apr 30 (PTI) Gold prices rebounded by Rs 2,000 to Rs 1.54 lakh per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday, tracking firm trends in global markets and a weak US dollar. According to the All India Sarafa Association, the yellow metal of 99.9 per cent purity jumped Rs 2,000, or 1.31 per cent, to Rs 1,54,800 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes). FRANKFURT, Germany, April 30, 2026 (AP) — Soaring oil prices from the Iran war pushed inflation higher in Europe in April, as growth continued to underperform in a worrying combination both for consumers and policymakers at the European Central Bank. Annual inflation in the eurozone — the 21 countries that use the shared euro currency — rose to 3% from 2.6% in March, fueled by a 10.9% increase in energy prices, the European Union statistical agency Eurostat reported Thursday. Crude oil is trading above $120 per barrel, up from around $73 before the outbreak of the war on Feb. 28.
