Stock markets surge to 4th day led by bank stocks, lower oil prices

Mumbai, Jul 6 (PTI) Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended higher, taking their winning run to the fourth day Monday, helped by buying in blue-chip bank stocks and lower crude oil prices. Fresh foreign fund inflows also added to the optimistic trend in domestic equity market. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 521.16 points, or 0.67 per cent, to settle at 78,285.07. July 6 (Reuters) – South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix on Monday launched a U.S. share sale to raise 43 trillion ​won ($28.07 billion), the company said, as it capitalises on the global AI boom with one of the world’s largest new share sales. BANGKOK, July 6, 2026 (AP) — China’s navy test-launched a long-range ballistic missile Monday from one of its nuclear-powered submarines in the South Pacific in a rare move that drew protest and concerns from countries in the region.
