Chandigarh, Aug 30 (PTI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday warned revenue officials and staff at deputy commissioners’ offices of strict action if they go ahead with their proposed strike call. Over 2,000 employees under the banner of the Revenue Patwar Union and the Revenue Kanungo Association have called for an indefinite pen-down strike from Friday following the registration of a corruption case against a ‘patwari’ and a ‘kanungo’ (both revenue officials) in Sangrur district a week ago. Women suffer worse heart disease outcomes than men: Study

New Delhi, Aug 30 (PTI) Women suffer worse outcomes when diagnosed with and treated for cardiac issues, according to the results of fifteen studies from 50 countries, including India. The researchers noted that the discrepancy is the result of women presenting with additional non-traditional chest pain symptoms including vomiting, jaw pain and abdominal pain. Delhi High Court asks Centre, state govt to take action on online sale of drugs without valid licence

New Delhi, Aug 30 (PTI) The Delhi High Court has directed the Centre and the city government to take action against those engaging in online sale of drugs without a valid licence. A bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula also granted six weeks to the Centre to take appropriate steps and inform the court about its final stand on “illegal” sale of drugs online. The bench listed the matter for further hearing on November 16 after the Centre’s counsel informed the court that consultations are still going on about a draft notification on online sale
