Supreme Court refuses to vacate interim stay on CBI probe against Karnataka deputy CM Shivakumar in DA case

New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) The Supreme Court on Monday refused to vacate the interim stay on the CBI’s investigation into the disproportionate assets case against Karnataka Deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar. A bench of Justices Aniruddha Bose and Bela M Trivedi issued notice to Shivakumar on a plea of the CBI challenging the June 12 order of the Karnataka High Court. The stay has resulted in halt of further investigation by the the central agency. New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) The wholesale price index-based inflation remained in the negative territory for the sixth straight month in September at (-)0.26 per cent, on easing prices of food articles. The WPI-based inflation rate has been in the negative since April and was (-)0.52 per cent in August. In September last year, it was 10.55 per cent. Inflation in food articles eased to 3.35 per cent in September, after remaining in double digits in the previous two months.
