New Delhi [India], September 14 (ANI): Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Act, 2023 that allows the use of a birth certificate as a single document for admission to an educational institution, issuance of a driving licence, preparation of voter list, Aadhaar number, registration of marriage, appointment to a government job and for any other purpose determined by the centre will come into force from October 1. Bengaluru, Sept 14:The Karnataka High Court has quashed criminal proceedings against three IAS officers including two retired officials for a lack of sanction. Among the three IAS officers, former chief secretary TM Vijaya Bhaskar, and former additional chief secretary Amita Prasad have retired from service, and Dr EV Ramana Reddy is serving as additional chief secretary, RDPR.
