New Delhi, June 3 (Reuters): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans a raft of business-friendly measures if he wins a third term this week, including pushing through regulations making it easier to hire and fire workers, according to two government officials familiar with the matter. New Delhi [India], June 1 (ANI): The opposition-led Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc meeting is underway at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in the national capital on Saturday. The meeting is being held on the polling day of the last phase of Lok Sabha polls. The counting of votes will be held on June 4. TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had already said she would not attend the meeting due to the polls in the state and to review the impact of cyclone Remal. A heatstroke in the eastern states of Bihar and Jharkhand over the past 24 hours, officials said on Friday. While 14 fatalities were recorded in Bihar, four were reported from neighboring Jharkhand, they added. Odisha government confirmed five deaths due to sunstroke over the past few days, with investigations ongoing into 18 suspected cases.
