Ramanagara (Karnataka), Nov 11 (PTI) Karnataka Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan has courted a controversy by calling Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy ‘Kaaliya’, a racist slur for being dark complexioned. Mumbai, Nov 11 (PTI) Declining for the fourth straight session, the rupee dropped 2 paise to hit a new lifetime low of 84.39 (provisional) against the US dollar on Monday, weighed down by persistent foreign fund outflows and a muted trend in domeic stequities. Forex traders said the rupee is likely to remain under pressure unless there is a softening in the dollar index or a slowdown in foreign fund outflows. New Delhi, Nov 11 (PTI) The Congress on Monday accused the BJP-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra of deliberately infusing “hate and poison” into its poll campaign and attempting to “disturb communal harmony in the state.” Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said that the campaign revealed the “sick mindset” of the BJP. “The Mahayuti, led by the BJP, has only one agenda in its campaign. It is simply and only to polarize society on the basis of religion and to disturb communal harmony in the state. Such an awful campaign reveals its sick mindset,” Ramesh wrote in a post on X.
